Landscape proposals and a management plan were developed to accompany a S73 planning application, and detailed designs prepared for the discharge of conditions for a luxury care home of 96 apartments, located along the prestigious road of The Bishops Avenue, Highgate.
The central courtyard, at the lower ground floor level, includes a podium terrace space leading from the restaurant and bedrooms, which are also provided with semi-private patios. A terraced retaining wall at the western end of the courtyard includes tiered planting and a cascading waterfall aligned with a sculpture within the centre of the courtyard.
The upper garden contains a formal lawn for year-round use, with a circular path around an existing retained oak tree. The path leads to a passive, sheltered seating space and sensory garden with additional water features and growing garden.
