Redevelopment of an existing Methodist Home for the Aged within a mature early twentieth-century Conservation Area. The care home’s setting was also influenced by the adjacent University of Leicester campus accommodation. A landscape appraisal was undertaken and a landscape scheme developed to accompany a planning application. Proposals included a residents’ garden and green roofs, and the gardens associated with the original house within the site frontage were restored to enhance its setting within the Conservation Area.
