Urban design proposals to create a landmark urban space as part of highways improvements for a key gateway site along the A1 strategy corridor. The practice was commissioned from concept design through to detailed scheme design as part of a design team encompassing highway engineers and artists. Proposals included the relocation of the historic clock tower, treatments to a London Underground ventilation shaft, enhancement of a cycle route, and unification of pedestrian space/public realm across the junction.
